What is a network accelerator?

Network acceleration is a set of techniques used to enhance the flow of information between end-users to provide a better network experience. It's also known as WAN optimization or WAN acceleration, and is accomplished by deploying a network accelerator, also known as a WAN accelerator (Wide Area Network accelerator). It can be a hardware component, software or device executed in a virtualized environment. WAN accelerators are deployed at each end of the communicating parties, close to their backup repositories. The source WAN accelerator stores data and control information for global data deduplication. The target WAN accelerator stores global cache data.

Optimizing Global Network Connections

The global dedicated backbone network of the GreyDeer network accelerator consists of over 50 PoPs and is supported by multiple Tier 1 internet service providers, backed by a 99.999% uptime SLA. This helps businesses or individuals to apply it flexibly to various application scenarios such as network services and mobile applications, solving the challenges of internet connection's security, reliability and fast and efficient performance.

Internet Connection Optimization

The GreyDeer network accelerator enhances end-to-end throughput by minimizing the impact of delay on traffic. Tasks with high bandwidth usage such as file upload and download, streaming playback can increase by 20 times or even more. The GreyDeer network accelerator minimizes delay in network applications or program sessions to the maximum extent and further reduces the impact of delay by applying its WAN optimization.
